R&D Tax Accountants

About R&D Tax Accountants

This site is the R&D tax practice of Tidy Money Ltd, an accountancy firm run by Preetesh Parmar FCCA and regulated by the ACCA. The work described here is carried out by that firm, not passed to a panel and not sold on as a lead.

We prepare R&D tax relief claims for UK companies: working out which scheme applies to the accounting period, costing the qualifying expenditure, writing the technical narrative, filing the claim notification and additional information forms, and handling HMRC compliance checks when they arrive.

How an Engagement Runs

The first conversation is about whether there is a claim at all. If the work does not meet the definition of R&D for tax purposes, we say so then, and there is no charge for reaching that answer. It is a better outcome than an engagement letter followed by a claim that cannot be defended.

If there is a claim, we set out the scheme that applies to your period, what we need from you, and the fee, in writing, before any work starts. We do not charge until that is agreed. Where a compliance check is already open, the engagement is scoped to the check and the correspondence with HMRC rather than to preparing a new claim.

Editorial Standards

Every rate, threshold and deadline on this site is taken from HMRC guidance on gov.uk or from the Corporate Intangibles Research and Development Manual, and the source is linked on the page that uses it. Where HMRC guidance does not settle a point, we say the point is unsettled rather than filling the gap.

The guides are written and reviewed in-house and carry no personal byline. We do not publish client names, case studies, testimonials or claim statistics. R&D relief moves most years, so pages carry the date they were last reviewed, and figures are re-checked against gov.uk when they are.

Find out what the claim is worth before you commit

Tell us what your company builds, which accounting period you want to claim for, and whether you have claimed before. We come back with the scheme that applies to that period, a view on what qualifies, and the fee in writing.
